MOSCOW, July 28./ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s arms exporter Rosoboronexport is preparing proposals to Latin American countries on the creation of complex programmes of ensuring security of states, large administrative entities, cities, state borders and critical facilities, the company’s press service told ITAR-TASS on Monday.

“The key component of the concept offered to the Latin American partners is a multilevel intellectual system, named “a secure city” by experts. It is an integrated system of real-time monitoring and control of operations units that considerably improves their effectiveness at all stages of daily activity - from the forecasting and prevention of threats to their localisation and removal,” the company said.

Rosoboronexport also offers various special means, armaments and equipment for law enforcement and special force units, search-inspection and other equipment that is also used during mass events.

“Russia has vast experience and all the needed technical means for building “secure cities.” It has already created such a city during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. The experience could be used by Brazil within preparations for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro,” Rosoboronexport said.

JSC Rosoboronexport is Russia’s only state organisation dealing with exports of the whole range of military and dual-use products, services and technology. It is included in Rostec Corporation and is a leader of the world arms market - accounting for more than 80% of exports of Russian armaments and military equipment. Rosoboronexport co-operates with more than 700 Russian defence industry enterprises and organisations. The geography of Russia’s military-technical co-operation embraces more than 70 countries.
