Russia’s Kamaz to raise sales in Turkmenistan amid Ukrainian woes

KAZAN, July 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian truck producer Kamaz may raise sales in Turkmenistan and countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America to avoid losses from a fall in sales in Ukraine, Rafail Gafeyev, CEO of foreign trade affiliate of the company, told PRIME on Wednesday.

“We aim to recover from a fall in sales connected with the Ukrainian crisis by extending commercial contracts with Turkmenistan, for instance. We are also working on contracts with several non-CIS countries,” Gafeyev said.

In 2014, Kamaz plans to raise its exports by 6,000 cars from 5,700 cars exported in 2013.
