MOSCOW, July 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Unicode consortium has included the graphic symbol of the Russian ruble, which the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) endorsed officially in December 2013, the CBR said in a report. The symbol was included in the new version of the Unicode 7.0 international standard.

This means that any soft relying on Unicode as the main source of encoded symbol will be able to identify the symbol of the ruble in all the possible versions of its visualization, including printers, computer monitors, and the displays of tablet PC's and Smart Phones.
