MOSCOW, May 27. /ITAR-TASS/. A draft law aimed at the expansion of exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) was submitted to the State Duma by deputy Valery Yazev.
Currently, the preferential right for LNG export is granted to the developers of federal-importance fields. As of January 1, 2013, a license for the use of such fields envisions construction of an LNG plant or delivery of natural gas extracted at these fields to the plant of the kind.
The draft law changes the date of license from January 1, 2013, to July 1, 2014, which makes it possible to increase the number of LNG exporters.
Therefore, the draft law will be effective for the Pechora LNG project on the purchase of the control stake, about which Rosneft achieved accord.
