MOSCOW, May 24 (Itar-Tass) - Creation of a Russian payment system did not mean giving up foreign payment documents, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Russian television on Saturday.

"We must prepare an own payment system, but it does not mean the system development must lead to cancellation of foreign payment documents," he said.

At the same time, the premier believes it is necessary to think about reliability of existing systems of international payment systems, including Visa and MasterCard, as it concerns a great number of people.
