ST. PETERSBURG, May 23 /ITAR-TASS/. Gazprom’s Chief Alexei Miller met Yuri Boiko, Ukraine’s former vice-premier for fuel and energy sector, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday.
Miller and Boiko greeted each other warmly and posed for pictures. Ukraine may appoint Boiko its future gas negotiator.
Boiko told journalists on May 14 that the Kiev authorities had chosen a scenario of confrontation with Russia and had now decided to change the terms of a gas contract which they themselves signed in 2009.
“It will be hard to settle this problem. But we need to find a solution,” Boiko stressed.
