Investment result of Petersburg's Economic Forum expected to amount to 130 billion roubles

This year, the forum will be held under the motto "Building Confidence in the Era of Transformation"

ST PETERSBURG, May 21 /ITAR-TASS/. Guests of the forthcoming International Economic Forum have begun arriving here. The overall number of participants and guess will be 6,500, including more than 1,700 journalists.

On May 22-24, the city expects the arrival of 109 representatives of official delegations from 62 countries, as well as the CEOs of 146 large companies of the world and 450 leading Russian ones.

This year, the forum will be held under the motto "Building Confidence in the Era of Transformation". It is expected that the Forum will be attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin who will declare a plenary session open on Friday.

The forecast made by City Governor Georgy Poltavchenko is that the city at the forum will sign 15 cooperation agreements which will subsequently make it possible to attract about 130 billion roubles to projects, the largest-scale of which will be the construction of a Planetograd residential district on an area of 240 hectares in Pulkovo Heights. The district is to be built for 102 billion roubles by the Israeli Company "Morgal Investment".

Besides, within the framework of the Forum, a joint session of the Investments Council to the St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko and the Investment Counci to Leningrad Region Governor Nikolai Drozdenko will be held to discuss, traditionally, new projects that are of importance for the development of both regions.
