Over 80% of agreements signed within state defense order — defense ministry

MOSCOW, April 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Defense Ministry has concluded over 80% of agreements within the defense order of 2014, the ministry’s press service says.

“In the same period of 2013, over 60% of agreements were concluded. The number of assignments and budgetary funds increased,” the press service told ITAR-TASS on Monday.

Within the state defense orde,r the ministry has prolonged 99.6% of state contracts. “Our contractors have placed over 700 assignments for a sum of about 170 billion rubles,” it says.

“The Russian Defense Ministry pursues an effective policy to place assignments in time within the state defense order and sign contracts to supply the army with weapons, military and special hardware,” the press service says.
