Deputy CEO: Gazprom not finalised gas price with China yet

"May be, in one or two months we will reach certain agreements with our Chinese partners," Gazprom deputy chief executive officer Valery Golubev says

IRKUTSK, March 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom has advanced in gas talks with China, but the gas price has not been finalized yet, Gazprom deputy chief executive officer Valery Golubev says.

“We together with Russia’s government conduct talks with Chinese partners. The price formula and supply volumes have been chosen. May be, in one or two months we will reach certain agreements with our Chinese partners,” he told an international gas conference in Irkutsk, Russia’s Siberia, on Thursday.

“The gas price is still being debated,” he said.

Golubev did not rule out that the agreements with China might influence the launch date of Russia’s largest gas fields, Kovykta and Chayanda.
