MOSCOW, March 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia is working on the stepping up of the project aimed at the diversification of gas supplies to China as an alternative to the European market, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters on Tuesday.
“Independently on any events we are working on the intensification of this project, as it is a very interesting and mutually beneficial project. We hope that [Russia’s gas giant] Gazprom and CNPC [China National Petroleum Corporation] will agree on price in the near future and the project will be launched,” he said.
