BELOKURIKHA, February 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s GDP growth reached 0.7% in January, Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Klepach has told a grain conference in the Altai Territory, Russia’s Siberia.
“Our preliminary estimate of the GDP growth for January is 0.7%,” he said on Friday, adding that the Russian economy continued to slow down.
“There are some estimates saying that we face a crisis, devaluation and that the economy should “collapse,” Klepach said. “In my opinion, we have no such things, the economy continues to stagnate. From this state of stagnation it should get out already in the second, third quarter of the year.”
