Gas production grows to over 65 billion cubic metres in Januray

MOSCOW, February 19, (ITAR-TASS) - Russia’s natural gas production in January 2014 grew year-on-year by 0.5 percent to 65.636 billion cubic metres, the fuel and energy complex's Central Dispatch Service reports.

Production by Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom lowered by one percent to 48.467 billion cubic metres.

Production by NOVATEK independent producer grew by 2.6 percent to 5.293 billion cubic metres.

Rosneft Oil Company ranked third in production of natural gas in Russia. The production grew by 4.5 percent to 4.621 billion cubic metres.

Gas consumption from underground storages grew by 14 percent year-on-year to 10.9 billion cubic metres.

Domestic supplies in January reduced by 0.7 percent to 54.6 billion cubic metres.
