Russia’s energy ministry forecasts slight growth in oil, gas output in 2014

MOSCOW, February 12. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Energy Ministry has forecast an increase in gas output by 4.7% to 700 billion cubic meters and in oil output by 0.3% to 525 million tons in 2014, deputy minister Kirill Molodtsov told reporters on Wednesday.

The country’s hydrocarbons development will grow through the launch of new deposits.

Last year’s gas output increased by 2% to 668 billion cubic meters and oil output by 0.9% to 523.275 million tons.
