Russia’s construction output decreased by 1.5% in 2013

MOSCOW, February 10, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s construction output decreased by 1.5 percent in 2013 versus 2012 and made up 5.92 trillion roubles (USD 1 = RUB 34.76), the Russian State Statistics Service says in its report.

Herewith, the December indicator amounted to 803 billion roubles, thus decreasing by three percent.

In 2013, all Russia’s organisations engaged in the sector built 912,100 new flats, which was 10.3 percent more than in the preceding year, the statistics says, adding that 69.4 million square metres of new flats were commissioned in 2013, or 5.5 percent more than in 2012.

In December 2013, as many as 246,800 new flats were constructed in Russia, and 16.4 million square metres of new flats were commissioned (1.1 percent decline), the statistics says.
