Surgutneftegaz keeps oil production at 5 million tons

MOSCOW, February 05. /ITAR-TASS/. The Surgutneftegaz company produced 5.202 million tons of oil in January 2014, which is 0.2% smaller than in the same period of the preceding year, the company’s official said.

In January 2013, the company’s oil output amounted to 5.214 million tons of oil.

Since the beginning of the current year, Surgutneftegaz produced almost 618,500 tons of oil at the oil fields of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), which is 3% more than in January 2013, the official said.

In addition, the company produced 800.6 million cubic meters of natural gas in January 2014, as compared to 1.053 billion cubic meters of gas in the same month of 2013.
