MOSCOW, January 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Aviation authorities concerned have granted permission to Russian-built Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplanes, operated by Mexican Interjet air company, to fly from Mexico to North America, said the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft company referring to Interjet’s official.
The Sukhoi company said Interjet was satisfied with the plane’s characteristics and post-sale maintenance. The carrier stressed that its Superjet 100 fleet demonstrated a high safety departure index (99%) over four months of intense operation, with an accumulated time in flight over 2,500 hours.
The Mexican air carrier purchased four Superjets 100 in 2013 and will obtain 11 more in 2014.
