Russia’s LUKoil, Mexico’s Pemex sign cooperation agreement

DAVOS, January 24, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s oil major LUKoil and the Mexican state-owned petroleum company Pemex have signed a cooperation agreement, the Russian company said. The document was signed by LUKoil’s President Vagit Alekperov and Pemex’s Director General Emilio Lozoya in the presence of Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The agreement provides for the cooperation between LUKoil and Pemex in the areas of oil prospecting and production. Apart from that, the two companies agreed to exchange experience in environment protection activities.
