Key European companies try to withdraw projects from Third Energy Package - diplomat

MOSCOW, January 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Key companies from the European Union are trying to withdraw their projects from the Third Energy Package, Russian permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov told a video conference on Friday.

“It [the Third Energy Package] prevents them. We’re told you can build a pipe, but you should give back half of the capacity,” the Russian ambassador said, adding, “This will look like an artificial barrier towards strengthening energy security in Europe.”
