MOSCOW, January 18 (Itar-Tass) - Gazprom may invest up to 30 billion roubles ($909 million) in Kyrgyzstan’s gas transportation system, Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Anatoly Yanovsky announced Friday.
“Gazprom has already carried out a detailed examination of Kyrgyzstan’s gas transportation system,” Yanovsky said adding terms of redemption depended on consumption in Kyrgyzstan and the price.
As previously reported, the Russian side of the deal guarantees proper investments of no less than 20 billion roubles (about $606 million) in modernization and overhaul of Kyrgyzstan’s gas infrastructure within five years from the date of registration of 100 percent property right to Kyrgyzgaz.
