Ukraine should launch industrial cooperation with Russia in February

KIEV, January 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine should launch its programme of industrial cooperation with Russia at full capacity in February, Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov said on Thursday.

“We need urgently, already in February, to launch at full capacity a programme of industrial cooperation with Russia that within years will give hundreds of thousands of jobs and guarantees for budgets at all levels, what will create a financial base for the development of our domestic market,” he told a cabinet meeting.

Azarov stressed importance of a free trade zone among CIS member-states. “Importance of a free trade zone for Ukraine’s economy cannot be overestimated,” he added.

“These programmes cost dozens of billions of dollars, even more. This is the future of basic sectors of the Ukrainian industry,” Azarov said.
