Gazprom boosts gas exports to Europe by 24 percent in 2013

MOSCOW, January 07, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom boosted gas exports to Europe in 2013 by 23.8 percent to 139.320 billion cubic meters year-on-year, the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex said.

Last year gas supplies to CIS countries reduced by 13.6 percent to 51 billion cubic meters. LNG export also declined by 1 percent to 14.495 billion cubic meters.

In general, Russia increased gas exports by 10 percent to 204.9 billion cubic meters in 2013.

Last year Gazprom Group increased gas exports by 7.1 percent to 217.7 billion cubic meters.

“Russia’s gas output grew by 2 percent to 668 billion cubic meters in 2013,” the Central Dispatch Department said.

Gazprom reduced gas production by 0.4 percent to 480.450 billion cubic meters.
