Russia raises reserves of hydrocarbons by more than 7 mln tonnes of fuel equivalent

MOSCOW, December 24, 21:17 /ITAR-TASS/. The growth of hydrocarbons localised in Russia in 2013 reached 7.3 million tonnes of fuel equivalent, the Russian Federal Agency for Mineral Resources says in its report.

An increase in the oil reserves is estimated at 2.4 billion tonnes, the agency says.

The document says that the outgoing year has seen expansion of geological prospecting in all oil-and gas-bearing provinces of Russia as well as in the offshore zones of the Arctic and Far Eastern Seas.
