KIEV, December 23, 23:24 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov will make a one-day trip to Moscow on Tuesday, December 24, to attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
“Azarov will attend a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of heads of state and in an informal discussion with the heads of the delegations participating in the meeting,” the government press service said on Monday, December 23.
It was reported earlier that Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich would attend the meeting, but the presidential administration has so far not made any statements regarding his plans for Tuesday.
Last week, Yanukovich said Ukraine hoped to obtain the status of observer in the Eurasian Economic Council.
