Russia to ensure return on investments in Sochi Olympic facilities

SOCHI, December 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian government is ready to create all possible conditions to ensure return on investments made in the construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak told journalists on Friday.

According to Kozak, steps will be made within the current laws to create conditions to make maximal use of the Olympic facilities in Sochi after the Winter Games in 2014. He reminded that at a meeting with key investors on Monday it had been decided to set up a special commission on the post-Olympic use of sports facilities.

“The commission has an important task - to organize various events here, to look at making air and railway tickets to Sochi cheaper in order to attract people to attend sports events,” he said. “All the Olympic facilities, especially hotels and sports facilities, have a chance to pay back and return the money they had borrowed, including from Vnesheconombank.
