Ukraine cuts gas import from Russia by 15.5 percent

KIEV, December 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine cut its natural gas import from Russia by 15.5 percent in the first eleven months of the year, as compared to the same period of 2013, and purchased 25.7 billion cubic metres, the country’s gas transportation company Ukrtransgaz says in a report.

In January-November 2013, natural gas transit to Western Europe via Ukraine went up by 3.5 percent to 75.2 billion cubic metres, including 7.1 billion cubic metres in November (21.5 percent growth), the company says.
