Sky Superjets fly between towns on islands of the Indonesian archipelago

MOSCOW, December 19. /ITAR-TASS/. A third Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliner has been delivered to Indonesian carrier Sky Aviation, Russian makers Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Corporation told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

“The aircraft left Moscow for Sky Aviation’s base in Jakarta. The two other aircraft have made more than 800 successful flights of more than 1,000 flight hours,” the corporation said.

Sky Superjets fly between towns on islands of the Indonesian archipelago, connecting with Pontianak in Borneo, Palembang in Sumatra and Natuna Ranay in Batam.

The airline plans to fly the new planes to Jawa's Surabaya, Bali's Denpasar, Komodo's Labuan Bajo and Timor's Kupang.

Sky began operations in 2010, making scheduled and charter flights from its base at Halim Perdanakasuma international airport in Jakarta.
