KIEV, December 15, 23:44 /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine and Russia may settle the issue of price Ukraine pays for Russian gas at a session of the bilateral interstate commission due in Moscow on December 17, Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov told Inter television on Sunday.
“I hope we will finally settle that issue at the meeting,” he said. According to him, Kiev hopes an “average European price” of Russian gas will be fixed for Ukraine.
Speaking about Ukrainian gas transportation system, Azarov said Kiev was planning to resume negotiations on a trilateral consortium to manage it, which would include Russia and a European country.
