Russia’s Gazprom showing 17% gas export growth in December

MOSCOW, December 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s gas giant Gazprom is demonstrating 17 percent growth of gas exports to Europe in early December, the company’s press office reported on Thursday.

“Europe continues to demonstrate increased demand for Russian gas,” the company said. “Thus, on December 1, Gazprom exported 518 million cubic meters of gas, on December 2 - 532 million cubic meters, on December 3 - 537 million cubic meters, and on December 4 - 538.3 million cubic meters. It was approximately by 17 percent more that over the same period last year.”

Since January 2013, according to preliminary reports, Gazprom has exported 147.9 billion cubic meters of gas, or up by 16.9 percent on the previous year.
