Kazakhstan’s GDP growth to reach 6% in 2013

ASTANA, November 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Kazakhstan’s GDP growth will reach 6% in 2013, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov told the economic forum Expert-200-Kazakhstan on Friday.

“In 2013, we expect a 6% economic growth,” he said. “We will register the growth practically in all industries, except for the mining one.”

The inflation rate will also stand at 6 percent, Akhmetov said, adding that “these are good rates to start the next year.”

Expert-200-Kazakhstan is an economic forum within the framework of the same name large-scale research and communication project targeted at finding Kazakhstan’s largest companies and on the basis of their activity to analyze the role of big business in the country’s economic development, its structure and main development trends.

The forum brings together top managers of Kazakhstan’s largest enterprises, representatives of public institutions and state bodies.
