An agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union is to provide for free movement of services, capitals and labour force - Andrei Slepnev

NEW YORK, October 29 (Itar-Tass) - The Eurasian Economic Union will be formed on the basis of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan by 2015, Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission Andrei Slepnev said on Tuesday at an annual meeting of the U.S.-Russia Business Council in Houston, Texas.

“A common market of goods has been formed within the Customs Union,” he said. “Our goal is to form the Eurasian Economic Union by January 1, 2015.”

An agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, in his words, is to provide for free movement of services, capitals and labour force. “As of now, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have said they are interested in joining the Customs Union. We are carrying out joint work in this area,” he added.
