Russia’s AvtoVAZ launches sales of new Lada Kalina Standard car models

SAMARA, September 22 (Itar-Tass) - AvtoVAZ, Russia’s biggest car manufacturer, has lunched sales of new Standard models of its Lada Kalina cars. The company plans to manufacture about 3,000 such cars in September, the company’s press centre told Itar-Tass.

The Lada Kalina Standard hatchback will be sold at a price starting from 324,000 roubles. “The new model is an intermediary variant between Lada Kalina Norm, which has been sold since August, and the de luxe model which made its market entry in July,” the press centre said.

The Lada Kalina Standard features a 87-horsepower engine with lightweight connecting rod and piston group, a driver’s airbag, electrically assisted steering, unbuckled seatbelt indicating gauge, daytime running lights and 14 inch wheel disks. The previous version of the Standard model lacked these options.
