Medvedev endorses Gazprom shares carve-out decision

One of the purposes is refining corporate structure and raising the effectiveness of the Gazprom Group

MOSCOW, September 16 (Itar-Tass) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has fixed a carve-out by Gazprom of the shares of a number of its subsidiary joint-stock companies, the government press service reported.

The decision on the sale of Gazprom-owned shares of the OAO Tsentrgaz, Gazprom Avtomatizatsiya, and Spetsgazavtotrans subsidiary was taken within the scope of measures on a carve-out of non-essential, ineffectual and no-purpose assets of the company in implementation of the Russian Presidential Decree, signed in May 2012, "On a Long-Term State Economic Policy", as well as for the purposes of refining corporate structure and raising the effectiveness of the Gazprom Group, a press service official pointed out
