Timber industry exhibition opens in Krasnoyarsk Tuesday

A tour of leading woodworking enterprises of the Territory will be a significant event of the forum

KRASNOYARSK, September 10 (Itar-Tass) - More than 180 foremost timber industry companies participate in the 15th woodworking exhibition "EXPODREV" opening here on Tuesday.

This year the exhibition area has grown by 70%, an official in the press service of the "Krasnoyarsk Fair" Company, which implements the project, told Itar-Tass.

Visitors to the EXPODREV will be able to get acquainted with major woodworking equipment producers, suppliers and developers of the newest technologies for logging, processing of waste, wooden construction, and furniture manufacturing plants.

A large-scale Timber Industry Forum of Siberia will be held within the framework of the exhibition for the first time. Participants in the forum will discuss most important matters regarding the use of forests and conservation of timber resources. "The Forum is to be attended by Vladimir Lebedev, Director of the Federal Agency for Forestry. He is expected to devote special attention to the development of the bioenergy sector in Krasnoyarsk Territory. It is precisely 'green energetic' that is one of priorities in the development of the timber industry of the region," the press service official pointed out.

The EXPODREV is to come to a close on September 13.
