MOSCOW, September 8 (Itar-Tass) - Founder of the USM Holding Alisher Usmanov is among five most influential persons in the world according the Bloomberg Markets magazine, which called him a most influential corporate broker.
The Bloomberg Markets’ annual rating of 50 most influential persons includes leading representatives of the international businesses and finances, who dictate trends of the world economy’s development.
Usmanov has become the first Russian business person to be put on the top list of global financial leaders.
Alongside his investments within USM Holdings, Usmanov owns Kommersant Holding, a leading Russian business media group, as well as almost 30% of Arsenal, an English football club. Usmanov is a member of governing bodies of NGOs and companies that play key roles in development of the Russian economy. Usmanov has served as General Director of Gazprom Investholding since 2000; prior to that he was an Adviser to the Chairman of Gazprom and First Deputy General Director of Gazprom Investholding.
