Russia’s wholesale gasoline prices go up by 15% in January-July - Statistics

In July 2013, the producers’ prices went up by 1.8 percent, as against this year’s June, and increased by 9.4 percent as compared to July 2012

MOSCOW, August 26 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s gasoline producers raised wholesale gasoline prices by 14.6 percent in the first seven months of the year, as compared to the same period of 2012, the Russian State Statistics Service said on Monday.

In July 2013, the producers’ prices went up by 1.8 percent, as against this year’s June, and increased by 9.4 percent as compared to July 2012.

In July, Russia’s retail gasoline prices edged up by 0.1 percent, and grew by 1.2 percent on January-July 2013. In the first seven months of the year, the hike in prices made up 7.8 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year, the statistics said.

In July 2013, the retail gasoline prices of various blends exceeded the prices of producers by 2.0-2.7 times on average across the country (in July 2012, the indicator grew by 1.9-2.3 times), the State Statistics Service reaffirmed.
