Ukrainian minister hopes for constructive dialog with Russia on trade

The minister said the claims to quality must be discussed and settled without delay

KIEV, August 1 (Itar-Tass) - Ukraine is ready for a constructive dialog with Russia on food products quality, Nikolai Prisyazhnyuk, Ukraine’s minister of agrarian policy and food, said on Thursday, regarding complaints of the Russian consumer rights watchdog agency Rospotrebnadzor about the quality of confectionery produced by Ukraine’s Roshen Company.

Expert talks on the matter are to start on August 5, he said. “The talks must consolidate for good the level of confidence in trade and economic relations between the two states,” he said.

The minister said the claims to quality must be discussed and settled without delay.
