Russia's 1st half tax revenue exceeds 5 trillion roubles

Of this sum, tax returns to the federal budget totaled 2.655 trillion roubles

NOVO-OGARYOVO, July 23 (Itar-Tass) - Head of Federal Tax Service /FNS/ Mikhail Mushustin said 5.433 trillion roubles came as tax revenue to Russia's consolidated budget in the first half of this year. This makes 99.5% of the tax revenue collected in the same period last year.

Of this sum, tax returns to the federal budget totaled 2.655 trillion roubles, up 1.9%  from the same period last year, the FSN director said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

He expressed the hope that a more effective tax collection and new methods, including electronic ones, would help the FNS to cope with the difficult situation, given the decrease in the GDP growth, and that they would enable his service to yield the results "not lower than last year's."
