MOSCOW, July 18 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Transaero has been recognized the best airline in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The airline has been awarded with the GlobeRunner Awards prize, which was founded by the American Internet portal for Frequent Business Traveller. The majority of passengers voted for Transaero. The voting was held from January to March 2013 and involved over 110,000 people living in different countries.
The GlobeRunnder Awards is given to world companies, which work in the sphere of tourism and journeys. It is presented to the best airlines, hotels, car manufactures and accessories for travellers, and tour operator websites. Airlines are also awarded with prizes in three categories: “America’s Best Airlines”, “Asia-Pacific Region Best Airlines” and “The Best Airline in Europe, Mideast and Africa”.
Transaero has become the first airline, which has been awarded with GlobeRunner Awards, director-general Olga Pleshakova told Itar-Tass.
She stressed that “passengers, who use Transaero permanently, could assess the quality of service and allow the airlines to get the prize”.
