Federal budget surplus exceeds RUB 128 bln, of half percent of Russia’s GDP, in January-May

As of June 1, 2013, the Russian Reserve Fund accumulated 2,665.92 billion roubles

MOSCOW, June 14 (Itar-Tass) - The federal budget general surplus gained 128.42 billion roubles (USD 1 = RUB 31.80), while the primary surplus was estimated at 271.25 billion roubles in the first five months of the year, the Russian Finance Ministry said in its regular report made public on Friday.

In January-May 2013, the federal budget revenues reached 5,114.58 billion roubles, or 39.8 percent of the total amount of the federal budget’s revenues envisaged by the federal law “On the Federal Budget for 2013 and the Planned Period of 2014 and 2015.”

In the period under review, the federal budget expenditures amounted to 4,986.17 billion roubles, or 37.2 percent of the targeted value envisioned by the adopted federal law and 37.1 percent of the target envisaged by the updated document.

As of June 1, 2013, the Russian Reserve Fund accumulated 2,665.92 billion roubles, while the Sovereign Wealth Fund - 2,739.33 billion roubles.
