Medvedev inked an order, which adds to the list of federal natural resources fields

MOSCOW, May 3 (Itar-Tass) - Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev inked an order, which adds to the list of federal natural resources fields, which would be used without competitions or auctions.

The governmental press service said on Friday the list now “includes the Demidovsky, Medvezhy and Fersmanovsky fields in the Barents Sea, and a field, which includes the Ledovoye condensate deposit.”

The premier’s order gives the right to exploit the fields to Gazprom for geology exploration and for production. The press service said the right is granted to Gazprom in compliance with the law on natural resources as to a legal entity, which had been organised according to the Russian legislation, which has experience in development of the continental shelf deposits for at least five years, and regarding which Russia has a right for direct or indirect 50 percent of the total vote, which makes the company’s chartered capital.

The order is available on the government’s site on the Internet.
