MINSK, April 30 (Itar-Tass) - Belarus received the fourth tranche worth 440 million U.S. dollars of the stabilisation loan from the Eurasian Economic Community’s (EurAsEC) Anti-Crisis Fund on Tuesday, April 30.
“The money of the fifth tranche of the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund was transferred to the Finance Ministry account opened at the National Bank of Belarus,” an official at the National Bank said.
In June 2011, the Council of the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund adopted the granting of the loan worth three billion U.S. dollars to Belarus. The loan was divided into six tranches, which should be delivered to the republic within 2011-2013 in compliance with the implementation of the stages of the Belarusian government’s stabilisation program.
With due account of the fifth tranche, the Fund disbursed 2.56 billion U.S. dollars in order to support Belarus’ balance of payments and its international reserves growth. In 2013, the republic hopes to get the sixth tranche worth 440 million U.S. dollars.
