Russia’s Finance Ministry seeks to approve long-term budget until 2030

“We’ve already started this work and plan to submit a draft budget to the government for consideration in July,” Finance Minister said

MOSCOW, April 8 (Itar-Tass) – Russia’s Finance Ministry considers it important to develop and approve a long-term budget strategy until 2030 this year.

“This year it is important to develop and approve a long-term budget strategy until 2030,” Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told an expanded meeting of the ministry’s collegium on Monday.

“We’ve already started this work and plan to submit a draft budget to the government for consideration in July,” he said.

Siluanov said these proposals will be submitted “together with main adjustments to the federal budget for 2014–2016.”

“This will help define our opportunities and attach priorities in the very beginning of implementation of the long-term budget planning,” the minister said.
