RF/EU trade increases by 5 percent – Medvedev

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Medvedev said, “The figures of trade cooperation are good, unprecedentedly big"

MOSCOW, March 22 (Itar-Tass) – Trade turnover between Russia and the European Union increased by 5 percent and reached 410 billion U.S. dollars, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Medvedev said, “The figures of trade cooperation are good, unprecedentedly big.”

“Trade turnover increased by almost 5 percent and reached 410 billion dollars,” Medvedev said. “Although we’ve agreed today not to dream about the dollar because Europeans use the euro,” he said.

“We uphold the euro to make it strong and stable,” the Russian prime minister said.
