CHERKESSK, February 8 (Itar-Tass) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Friday called on regional authorities to exercise control over grain and bread prices. “I would like to call attention of other regions that it’s necessary to watch grain and bread prices,” Medvedev said at a meeting of the governmental commission supervising socio-economic development of the North Caucasian Federal District.
The prime minister expressed the hope that this year would be more successful (than the previous one) for the North Caucasian Federal District, the republics that are part of it and the whole country.
The premier warned against giving a free hand to speculators and creating problems to trade chains.
