Inflation in 2012 over 6pct – Rosstat

Rosstat reports that final data on the index of consumer prices in December 2012 will be available on January 9, 2013

MOSCOW, December 29 (Itar-Tass) — The inflation in Russia in December made 0.5 percent, and over the period from beginning of the current year – 6.6 percent, the Federal Service of State Statistics /Rosstat/ reported on Saturday.

Consumer prices in December of the past year grew by 0.4 percent, and over 2011 – by 6.1 percent.

In 2012, according to Rosstat’s preliminary data, consumer prices for food have grown in December by 0.9 percent, over the year – by 7.5 percent; for other goods – by 0.3 and 5.2 percent, for services – by 0.4 and 7.3 percent respectively.

Rosstat reports that final data on the index of consumer prices in December 2012 will be available on January 9, 2013.
