About 200 companies take part in power industry exhibition in Kazan

A special Business Mission of St Petersburg has been formed by the city's Committee on economic development, industrial policy and trade

KAZAN, December 5 (Itar-Tass) — About 200 Russian and foreign companies participate in the 14th International exhibition on the theme of "The Power Industry and Resource-Saving" opening in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan on Wednesday. The business meeting will be declared open by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, an official in the press service of the Head of the Republic told Itar-Tass.

"A large number of executives of 19 foremost industrial companies of St Petersburg will for the first time take part in the exhibition which has been arranged at the Kazan Fair center," the organizing committee official said.

A special Business Mission of St Petersburg has been formed by the city's Committee on economic development, industrial policy and trade. "Presentations of the enterprises of St Petersburg and the establishment of contacts with the business circles of Russia's regions have been planned out," Petersburgers say. The government of Tatarstan will hold a session to discuss "The Implementation of the Long-Term Purpose-Oriented Programme 'Energy-Saving and Increase in Energy Efficiency in the Republic in 2010-2015 and longer period until 2020" within the scope of the exhibition.

A conference is to be also held to discuss "Energy Resource Efficiency in Industry. new technologies and a rise in energy- and resource efficieny in production processes and in the transportation of energy resources.

The exhibition will come to a close on December 7.
