Russian government not planning to ban diesel exports again — Novak

The situation in the Russian fuel market is now stable in terms of prices and the offer, Alexander Novak noted

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. The Russian government does plan banning diesel fuel exports again, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak told reporters.

"No, we are producing diesel in a sufficient volumes - twice more than needed for the domestic market. [If there is a ban], there will be no place for it to go," the official said.

The situation in the Russian fuel market is now stable in terms of prices and the offer, Novak added.

The ban on gasoline and diesel fuel exports was effective in Russia from September 21 to November 17, 2023 in order to stabilize prices in the engine fuel market.
