Iraq’s oil ministry plans to reduce oil exports to 3,300 barrels daily

This step is associated with "published reports on oil production in Iraqi Kurdistan, whose volumes were not agreed with the government in Baghdad"

CAIRO, March 18. /TASS/. The Ministry of Oil of Iraq plans to cut oil exports to 3,300 barrels per day in coming months, according to the statement posted on its official website.

"The Ministry of Oil of Iraq affirms its commitment to principles of voluntary reduction of oil production," the statement reads. The ministry "puts forward the initiative of reducing oil export indicators to the level of 3,300 barrels per day during the next coming months," it said.

This step is associated with "published reports on oil production in Iraqi Kurdistan, whose volumes were not agreed with the government in Baghdad" and with the desire "to offset growth of the oil production level recorded in Iraq in January and February" 2024, the ministry added.
