Bulgaria could pick Hyundai to expand Kozloduy nuclear power plant — report

The cost of building the two reactors has been pegged at about $14 billion

SOFIA, February 18. /TASS/. Hyundai Engineering & Construction could build two additional reactors for Bulgaria’s Kozloduy nuclear power plant, the 24 Chasa newspaper reported.

A commission of the power plant’s officials reviewed five bids and concluded that Hyundai was the only company whose proposal met the requirements, the report said.

The Bulgarian Energy Ministry will make a final decision on the bids. The cost of building the two reactors has been pegged at about $14 billion.
