Russia abolishes export duties for gas and oil to South Ossetia

Shipments will be tax-free under the bilateral agreement, and Russia’s standard duty rate will apply for any extra supplies

MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Russia has abolished export duties on gas and oil shipments to South Ossetia.

The protocol of the amendments to the Russian-South Ossetian intergovernmental agreement has been published on the official legal information website. The tariffs are canceled starting January 10.

Shipments will be tax-free under the bilateral agreement, and Russia’s standard duty rate will apply for any extra supplies.

The parties also agreed to cancel taxes for 2024 on other products: plastics, ferrous metal and its derivatives, aluminum and products made from it.
